Alicia Maria Casas, 81, was born September 30, 1944, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and died May 8, 2026. She will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who were blessed to know her. Alicia resided in Santa Clarita, California.
In her late 20s, Alicia left her family in Mexico and came to California on her own—an act of courage that reflected the steady strength she carried throughout her life. She welcomed her first child, Agustine, and later married Sebastian Galvan. Together they moved to Rialto, California, where she raised her family and welcomed children, Yvonne, Sandra, and Rosalind. Alicia worked tirelessly as both a devoted mother and a hardworking provider, meeting life’s demands with determination and a steadfast spirit.
Alicia took great pride in making a beautiful home and garden, tending to both with care and patience. Faith was central to her life; she brought her family to church every Sunday and kept her children involved in meaningful activities—playing instruments, dancing, and singing—always encouraging them to grow and participate. She delighted in simple joys, including trips to the swap meet, where she loved finding special things for her children and for the home.
Family remained at the heart of everything Alicia cherished. She made sure her children visited their grandparents every weekend, and she cherished returning to Mexico to see her loved ones. Her generosity extended to her family. She loved her brothers and sisters dearly: Valentin, Carlos, Gustavo, Rosa, Francisco, María Elena, José Arturo, Alberto, and Martha. She was also the beloved daughter of Valentine and Petra.
Though life Alicia continued forward with resilience and prayer, never giving up and always striving to remain close to her children. She loved them unconditionally, and her warmth and quick wit could lift a room—she always seemed to know what to say to bring laughter when it was needed most. She often shared what she believed was the secret to life: to love your children without condition, put them first, and pray every day for yourself and your family.
Alicia was the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren—Samuel, Clarisza, Emily, Laura, Lilianna, Julia, Ellie, and Reagan, as well as her granddaughter Ysabella, who is in heaven with her grandmother. She took genuine interest in their lives, their school, and their relationships, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love. She had a special gift for making them laugh and smile and to be heard she will be carried in their hearts and mind everyday with her wisdom and strength.
Alicia also expressed her love through the care she gave in everyday ways: she made menudo and homemade tortillas that her family called the best ever, baked cakes to share, and enjoyed watching movies with everyone. She found happiness in gardening, and she took pride in beauty, skincare, and hair care—loving to do these things for those she cherished.
