THE FOUR CANDLES  
The first candle represents our grief.
The pain of losing you is intense.
It reminds us of the depth of our love for you.

The second candle represents our courage.
To confront our sorrow,
To comfort each other, 
To change our lives.

The third candle is in your memory.
For the times we cried,
The times we were angry with each other,
The silly things we did,
The caring and joy you gave us.

The fourth candle is for your light that will always shine.
As we share this day of remembrance
with family and with friends.
We cherish the special place in our hearts
that will always be reserved for you.

We thank you for the gift
your living brought to each of us.
We love you.
We remember you.

May your candle always burn bright!

Forever in my heart!

Barbara will always hold a special place in my heart. She introduced to one of my most dear friends Debi Cox through Barbara's candle carving business. I will always be grateful to Barbara for teaching me how to carve "Elegance In Candles" and for allowing me to enjoy her wonderful husband Joe and her wonderful little dog JoeJoe. Barbara was a bigger than life woman who absolutely loved her son Denny, she doted on him and always put him up on a pedestal. Barbara touched more lives than can ever be told whether it was carving candles in Hawaii or California, she brought much joy into many peoples lives through her creativity. I will miss her.

I met Barbara in March 1990, 25 years ago next month, and we have been neighbors ever since!  It will certainly be different around here after this, as she was a friend to everyone she met, and interested in them and their lives.  I'm happy for her that she was able to remain in her own home at 93 years old, right up to 2 1/2 weeks before her passing.  I'm glad for her that she went relatively quickly, but it's still a sad time for her family and many friends.
