

David Louis Haynes was born on May 14, 1933 in Thermopolis, Wyoming, the son of Harold Lewis Haynes and Lorena Mae (Cooley) Haynes. He died February 12, 2012 after several years of ailments associated with kidney failure.
He attended public schools in Casper, Wyoming, Vancouver, Washington and Jacksonville, Illinois. After graduating from high school he was drafted into the U.S. Army Signal Corps and served his term during the Korean War. His ship was on its way to the war zone when the cease fire was called; it was diverted to Japan, where David finished his term of duty.
He attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California which qualified him to serve as an electrical engineer with Litton Corporation . He retired from Litton after 30 years of service. Retirement gave him additional time to pursue his favorite pasttimes--golfing and flying his airplane, which he owned jointly with a friend.
David is survived by his sister, Evelyn Haynes of Fort Collins, Colorado, and brother, Larry Haynes of Cedar Hills, Utah, nephews Dean Haynes of Canyon Country, California, Mark Haynes and Scott Haynes of Craig, Colorado, David Dossett of Topeka, Kansas and nieces Debra Karl of Topeka, Anne (Mrs. Tim) Mahnke of Palmdale, California, Lori Horn of Grants Pass Oregon, and Sara (Mrs. Joe) Ross of Merlin, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirley (Mrs. Glenn) Dossett
