When I Am Gone
When I am gone, do not fear my memory.
Do not be afraid to speak my name or look through old photographs. Do not be scared to play old videos so that you might hear my voice and
see me laughing. Do not be wary of visiting my favourite places or eating my favourite foods
or singing along to my favourite songs.
I know it will hurt. Those memories will remind you that i am gone.
They will stab at you like a knife in an open, gaping wound.
Raw, excruciating pain. But after a while, the knife will become less sharp, the wound will become
less open and the pain will become less raw.
And those memories will remind you that I was here.
That I lived.
Do not reduce my life to my death.
Speak my name, hear my voice,
sing my favourite songs and visit my favourite places.
Because that's how I can stay alive a little.
Right here with you.

You were fearless and your thirst for travel and discovery was undeniable.  Today marks three years since you parted on your journey of life to be with our creator, it feels as if it is just yesterday we were in KC on these glorious machines.  I cherish every moment our heavenly creator gave us, every laugh, every cry, everything yummy we enjoyed,  and as you now soar the heavens, I feel loved from above!  Forever in my heart  Mamasina! Mi querida tía. Se me es tan difícil pasar por su casa todos los días y no poder ver su linda sonrisa o recibir sus abrazos.    Extraño tanto nuestras largas pláticas tomando un cafecito y compartiendo recetas.  Siempre la recordaré como una mujer valiente y luchadora que nunca se dio por vencida. Pero sobre todo amorosa y caritativa. Gracias por haber cuidado de mi,  cuando era niña y delirava con altas fiebres.   Por sus cuidados, atenciones y la ayuda de Dios pude recuperarme más pronto.
La extraño tanto, pero con la fé y esperanza que pronto nos volveremos a ver.  🌺

Tia Alícia , siempre fue bien cariñosa con migo y me quedan recuerdos de Ella como los ponchitos que tejió para mis hijas . Mi infancia con ella  fue bonita , special en verano cuando me llevaba a su trabajo .  Cuando hacía Arroz a la valenciana yo era Feliz . Todo lo que cocinaba estaba rico . Ahora queda el recuerdo de su risa . Sus abrazos , y muestras de cariño están grabadas en mi mente . Hasta pronto tía Alícia 

Tía Elisa como voy a extrañar la comida deliciosa que usted me hacía cuando la iba a visitar. Gracias por compartir spanakopitas, cafecito, flan de coco, y todas los otros platillos tan ricos conmigo. Disfrute de todas las visitas y nuestras pláticas y usando usted me contaba historias de la casa en Crenshaw. Aunque me siento triste por su partida me da alegría sabiendo que está Reunida con PapaNayo. Los extrañamos mucho. Descanse en Paz tía! 🤍

Hnita, hay tanto que recordar que haría un libro  de los momentos  vividos lloramos reímos y trabajamos juntas, no olvidare tus regaños y consejos, tus comidas deliciosas, tus atenciones  cuando te visitaba.ya no pudimos realizar el viaje a tu casita de guate, te extraño mucho sister vivirás por siempre en mi corazón. Siempre recuerdo que me decía que se quería ponerse los zapatos de “tanejo” por decir los zapatos de conejo. Y también recuerdo cuando el suéter que le compro su papá de los “patos coshones” por decir patos pesquesones. Y cuando me decia que quería “chicharrones del cochiqo” cuando era Armadillo. Siempre te recordare y vivirás en mi corazón. Descansa en paz amada hija. Que descanses con los tanejos y los patos coshones. Te amare para siempre mi querido jongudo. ❤️

Recuerdo esos momentos en el qual nos reiamos hasta morir. Cuando te decía ya paremos porque ya te estás riendo como el pulgoso. Hamas lo olvidare. Y ese viaje que tenimaos planeado para ir a nuestras casas en Guatemala. Solamente quedó en el recuerdo. Descansa en paz gracias por los buenos momentos que vivimos. Siempre me acordaré del pan de sanaoria y pasas que me hacías que nadie lo sabía hacer como tu. Solamente quedara el sabor en mi lengua. Siempre te recordaré amada hermana. Te amo. Un día volveremos a estar juntas.

Mi querida hermana  nuca podré olvidar todos los momentos buenos que vivimos a lo largo de nuestra vidas  de niñas jugábamos todas las tardes con nuestros vesinos fuimos creciendo y formamos nuestras familias con mucho amor y compartimos alegría y tristeza pero también logros Dios a querido que partieras a su presencia te voy a extrañar mucho pero se que estás en un mejor lugar en dónde no ay llanto ni dolor pero vivirás por siempre en mi corazón 

I will always remember mi tia Alicia. I will miss her spanakopitas that she knew I loved.  My greatest memories of her are when she showed up to my house and called me that she was parked on my driveway with some beautiful plum color gladiolus flowers or to drop off my favorite spanakopitas. She will always have a special place in my heart. I will always remember her laughter and the way she would pull on my shoulder to get my attention.  Descanse en paz tía 🌷💕
