Javier Sanchez

Javier Sanchez, our beloved brother, Father, and Grandfather, passed away on February 16th, 2021 at Holy Cross Providence Medical Center in Mission Hills, California at the age of 64. He was born July 22nd, 1956 in Mission, Texas to Santos and Amelia Sanchez. He was known to his family as “Cookie” and to his friends as “Spotty.”

After moving to California at a young age, he lived the majority of his life in Pacoima, California. After graduating from San Fernando High School, he worked for many years at General Motor, which was one of San Fernando’s largest vehicle manufacturing companies. In addition, he held positions in management and plumbing.

He had a passion for motorcycles and taking road trips with friends. He loved family gatherings, meeting new people and was a giving, trusting, free-spirited and kind soul, who always gave without hesitation.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Sanchez (Balderas); father, Santos Sanchez; and is survived by his son’s and daughter’s-in-law, Javier Sanchez Jr., Anthony Sanchez (Dominique), Patrick Lawrence Sanchez (Heather), Daniel Sanchez (Marian); (8) grandchildren; brother’s, Santos Sanchez Jr., Carlos Sanchez, David Sanchez and Steven Sanchez (George); sister’s Norma Irene Juarez (Lester), Beatrice Rincon (Abraham) and Cynthia Reyes (Mauro).
