Judy’s first priority was always her family. Her children, Sheri, Sean and “bonus” daughter Juliene and grandchildren, Jessica, Caitlin, Grace, Annie and Danny were always the light of her life. She was never more happy than when she was with her family and having fun on vacation or an outing.
Judy’s professional love was teaching. She taught Junior High math for 15 years in the Hart Unified School District and loved every minute of it. She had the perfect personality to teach 12 – 14 year olds and all of her students loved and respected her. It made her day when an ex-student would come up to her years later and tell her how much she had meant to that person when they were in school.
In retirement, Judy’s passion became the SCV Scholarship Foundation. She served is several roles on the Board of Directors and was President for three years. She continued to develop the Foundation and increased funding every year that she was president. Her great satisfaction was to go to Awards Night at one of the high schools and present college scholarships to deserving students.
