Maria Guadalupe Moncivais-Castillo passed away peacefully May 13, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada with her family by her side. She was born February 27, 1954 in Mexico to Priciliano and Teresa Moncivais. They moved to the United States in 1958 and she spent her younger years in Oxnard, CA.
She graduated from Oxnard High School in 1972. She retired in business management in the medical field after a long career with Facey Medical Group.
Maria truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; gardening, arts and crafts, shopping, and spending time with her family. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother. Maria was extremely hard working and always strived to set good examples for her children. Blessed with the perfect combination of charisma, humor, and wit, Maria illuminated the lives of those around her.
Maria is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Henry Castillo, Benjamin Trejo and Dina Trejo, Michael Trejo, Erica Ayala and Daniel Ayala, Joseph Trejo and Morgan Trejo; along with 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
