Martha J. Nogle

MARCH 4, 1924 - NOVEMBER 21, 2011

Martha Nogle, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on November 21, 2011 at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family of four generations.

Martha was born in Burlington, Vermont in 1924 and lived in New York and Caracas, Venezuela during her early years. The family settled in West Los Angeles in 1932. She graduated from University High School in 1941 and attended both UCLA and Chapman Business College.

In 1943, she married her long-time, high school sweetheart, John Nogle and they were blessed with 68 years of marriage. Martha was the mother of four children, Nancy O’Neil (Bob), Jane Benchener (Brian), Doug Nogle (Kathy) and Susan Winters (Tim). She was a caring daughter, loving sister, devoted wife, selfless mother, dedicated homemaker, long-time business owner and faithful friend.

Martha is survived by her husband and four children and their spouses. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Greene and Jeff O’Neil; Jonathan Koltvet and Nicholas Benchener; Brian, Gregory and Bradford Nogle and Kimberly Henzie; and Derrick, Matthew and Lindsay Johnson. Martha also leaves a fourth generation with eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 1pm at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321.
