NEWHALL - Myra Teresa Sanchez Cailipan 1956 – 2022 Myra Teresa Sanchez Cailipan died in Newhall, CA early morning of September 24, 2022. She belongs to a family of four: Edwin Teresa Sanchez (70), Reynaldo Teresa Sanchez (68) and Rachelle Sanchez Tuazon (44) and living parents Susana Martinez Teresa Sanchez (90) and Francisco Aguilar Sanchez (92).
Born in the Philippines on April 10, 1956 at Arayat, Pampanga, she married Napoleon Constantino Cailipan who hailed from Malolos, Bulacan in May 22, 1982 in her parent’s residence in San Fernando, Pampanga where they lived for 20 years. Her family moved to the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan (Philippines) in 2008.
Endowed with skillful hands and artistic eye, she owned and operate a beauty shop. She came to fulfill a full-time homemaker when she started to rear a family of three children Leon Neal (37), Myr LeGrand (34) and Myna Leonny (31). With her passing she had granddaughter, Yzabelle Yhazz Deuda Cailipan (8).
A wonderful mother who always look after the well-being of her children, parents, siblings and extended family. She passed away with husband, Napoleon Cailipan, and daughter, Myna Leonny Cailipan Lapina with her, and also with Leon Neal Cailipan and Myr LeGrand Cailipan who are living in the Philippines joining through facetime.
Hers was boundless love for her still living aunts, Ligaya Sanchez Villaruel resident of Cainta, Rizal (Philippines) and Carmen Teresa Larino of West Covina, CA; and, first cousin Jane Teresa Aquino presently living in Pasig City (Philippines). She was closely attached with the family of Teresa, Sanchez, Cailipan, Larino and many more extended families.
Myra first came to the United States with her family in Chandler AZ between 1997-1998. She with her daughter immigrated to the United States in September 2011 with husband following after in November 2011. They established their residence in Newhall, CA. She shortly lived with her husband in Seattle WA between 2019-2020 and returning back to their original home residence in LA County during the COVID19 pandemic.
Before the COVID19 times, Myra was well admired by the Filipino community and friends at the SCV Senior Center. Seniors – men and women - are in awe with her abilities in playing pool and ballroom dancing, respectively.
Myra belonged to the faithful Relief Society Organization of the Wiley Canyon Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Special thanks to the Leaders of the Wiley Canyon Ward whose love and support guide her family in this moment of grief. The memory we will keep in our heart with gratitude and remembering the happy moments of her life from birth to death; the beautiful significance as a Daughter of God sealed for Time and Eternity in the House of the Lord.
