She was a beautiful, intelligent, talented and caring woman. She loved music; as still a teen, she sang with the USO and on the radio during WWII. Throughout her life, she continued to nurture an appreciation of music, dance, and classic movies.
She moved to Lawndale, CA in 1945, went to Leuziuger High School where she graduated in 1946. She worked at Aetna Insurance Co, until in 1948 when she married Keith Miller, who was in the Navy at the time. Phyllis became a mother with the birth of daughter Leslie, born 1949 in Long Beach, CA. Eight years later, son Craig was born 1957 in Encino, CA.
Phyllis was also a creative person and was able to create a wonderful home wherever she lived. The family moved all over the country from Granada Hills to Orange, South Bay, Simi, San Diego, CA, Boston, MA, Orlando, FL, and Sylmar, CA. She and Keith also spent time visiting the Hawaiian and Caribbean Islands, and Las Vegas, NV.
Phyllis spent her final days at home surrounded by loved ones. She passed peacefully and without pain.
