Robert (Bob) was born in 1944 in Glendale, California to Donald and Jacqueline Carty. Robert graduated in 1963 from Eagle Rock High school. He then went on to serve 4 years with the United States Navy in San Diego, California as Petty officer 3rd class. He was married to Cecilia Mendez from 1963-1972 and had 3 children Denise, Thomas, and William. Bob was partnered with Evelyn Baslington from 1973-1990. They have one daughter Bobbie Jean Carty and one stepson David Gloyn. Bob went on to marry Judy (Weaver) Carty in 1997 and they were together until her passing in 2020. He worked his life career as an operator of a high speed offset printing press.
Bob's hobbies were boating, camping, and had a passion for collecting classic cars and showing them in car shows. Bob had more friends than most, and never turned down an adventure for a good deal. Bob and his wife Judy loved traveling in their trailer for NASCAR adventures and antiquing. His signature "Whiskey" quote instead of "Say Cheese" for pictures will sorely be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him well.
Bob is survived by son William (Kimberly) Carty, daughter Bobbie Jean (Ken) Cannata, son Thomas (Susan) Carty, daughter Denise (Gary) Entner, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, stepchildren and his extended family.
To celebrate Bob, a Celebration of Life will take place in July, date and location to be announced. The family requests in lieu of flowers, Memorial donations to be made to the Navy Safe Harbor Foundation or Desert Tortoise Conservation.
