He leaves his wife of 59 years, Lorenza (Caban) King; his son, Richard King; his daughter, Susan (King) Villasenor; his son-in-law, Paul Villasenor; his three grandchildren, Elaine, Marisa, and Paul; his two great-grandchildren, Xander and Emma.
Born in Santa Paula, California, son of Louis G. King and Inez Ayala Rodriguez.
Ruben attended Santa Paula High School, where he met his sweetheart, Lorenza.
Ruben is a veteran, serving in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He was stationed with the 325th infantry at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served as an instructor for reserve officer training corps cadets and as a paratrooper jumpmaster.
Ruben was a self-employed business owner for over 60 years. He held an Enrolled Agents license and practiced Income Tax accounting. The most rewarding part of his career was being able to build life-long relationships and genuine friendships with his clients.
Ruben enjoyed playing guitar and singing in his local church. He had many dear friends in church and outside of church.
Ruben was devoted and dedicated to his family. Most of all he was a family man, who loved his family so much.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
