Ruby Faber

Ruby Arlene Faber died peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning January 9, 2016 at the age of 89. Born Ruby Arlene Thomas to Robert Russell Thomas and Pearl Dotty Spicknall Thomas the Summer of 1926 in Roseland, Nebraska. She had 1 older sister, Roberta that died at age 7 of Whooping Cough leaving Ruby the oldest of 6; Dorothy (Dottie), Florence (Tootie), Hazel, James (Jimmy), and Larry. She lived in Holstein Nebraska as a child and attended Holstein School.

Ruby married Hubert George Faber on November 25, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They moved to California after marriage, living in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Pacoima, and eventually settling in Granada Hills in 1957 where they raised their three children.

Ruby became widowed in 2005 and shortly thereafter moved to Laguna Woods, CA into the Villa Valencia Senior Apartments where she made many friends.

She is survived by her Siblings; Hazel Kennedy, James Thomas and Larry Thomas, her children; Samuel Faber, Randolph Faber, and Penny Pawley, her grandchildren; Jess, Kerry, Ryan, Shante', Marisa, Jonathan, and Patrick, her great grandchildren; Tommy, Alexis, Brandon, Colleen, Kylie, Wyatt, Connor, Jesse, Faith, Camille, Anthony, and Rylann.
