We were so saded to learn of Bennie,gone home.I were talking with Selena,We love you always.

I worked briefly with Ben at Ball Metal.  He was always a happy, kind, and sincere person.  To the family;  I know it's painful to lose a loved-one, but please know that he leaves a wonderful legacy on this earth for you to be very proud of.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Your dad was certainly blessed to have you as a son! The next time I bump into you, I'll take the job! Remember waaaaay back.

RIP Mr. Hankins. Heaven is a happier place because you are there.

On behalf of the entire Tidewater Wolves Family, please accept our sincere condolences.  I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr. Hankins over 10 year ago when his grandson TJ started playing as a Mite for Coach Butch Dones.  I would sat on the sideline and just admire the skill and talent displays by a little cocky 6 year old football player.  He had a natural talent and I know he must have gotten that from someone prior to coming to us.  I remember him dragging that tire around after being punished and hearing  Mr. Hankins say, he needs that.  That cockiness was TJ's edge and we both agreed that it was something that he should never lose. 

You all will always be in our prayers.

Oh my, I can't even begin to tell you how much we will miss Ben. He was a friend, neighbor, talker, joker and so much more.  We shared a street, garbage cans, mail, papers, tools, advice, chit chat, & just plain fun.  Ronnie, know that he will stay in our hearts & minds until we go too.  He was a sweetheart.  He remains a sweetheart.

I loved Coach Hankins as a young boy. He was an inspiration to me and my first introduction to coaching. God bless him. Thank you to his family for letting us have him as our coach. I'm sure hundreds of men feel the same way as me.

I have too many great memories of Mr. Hankins to mention, dating back to first grade. I vividly remember in 5th grade, at the Sanford Elem library, Ben showing me his father's picture in the Encylcopedia during the March on Washington; to both of us this made him a celebrity and hero. 
Mr. Hankins wore me out growing up everytime he thought I wasn't living up to what he expected, and I wasn't even his son. He cared about every kid he coached, every kid that was friends with his children, and made us all a little better.
He will be missed and will always be appreciated, more than the Hankins family realizes.

Mr. Hankins ( Old Man ) I have always looked up to you. You were a father to me. Keep on joking . I love you and will miss you.
