Dear Judy and Gail, I am so sorry to learn about the passing of your mother. She was always so kind and gracious to my family and me. My parents, John and Lucile Humble, were close friends with Mushy and Juanita in Wilmington and Newport News and I have fond memories of playing with you so very long ago. We have such wonderful memories of our relationship with the Hoffmans and, of course, the Rauchs.  We admired Mushy and Juanita, their hard work, their dedication to family, to the church and to the community.  Departures are always times of sorrow, but Juanita had a good life and her offspring carry forth her legacy with honor.

I was deeply saddened by Aunt Juanitas passing. She was a wonderful person who I will remember fondly.  Thinking of you all.

Gail my dear friend, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I was always warmed by Juanita's heart felt hugs and warm smiles and I will treasure the wonderful memories of her and Mushy and the times we spent together.  I know Juanita enjoyed our crazy stories.  Please be at peace.

Jaunita and Mushy have been friends and neighbors since I grew up in Newport News.  Jaunita was always interested in our family happenings and let us use the pier off their house anytime.  I will miss her kindness so much.

One of my favorite people! Those Ambrose girls were my friends when I was a little girl. Juanita & my brother, Francis graduated from Achilles & he was a friend of "Mushy's" at that place across from the shipyard.
I heard a lot of tales about those days at the shipyard. I always looked forward to see Juanita when she visited her sisters, Dolly, Louise, & Marie.
