
Born December 18, 1937 in Niagra Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred George and Elxia May Snider Craddock. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the co-founder of Triad Package in Conover, NC; Bristol, TN; Athens, AL and Chambers Container in Gastonia. He was an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany and just recently took the position of Senior Warden Member. Harold loved his church, but had an extreme passion for his family.
JoAnne Meier Craddock was the love of his life and they married May 3, 1958. They had a wonderful life together until her death on February 15, 2013.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stacey Hartis and husband, Roy “Skeet” of Conover, NC, Cynthia Heglar of Bristol, TN, Bobbie Wines and husband, Ricky of Christiansburg, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Hartis and wife, Heather, Michelle Slaughter and husband, Chris, Daniel Heglar, Jennifer Fulwider and husband, Charles, Timothy Wines and wife, Hazel, Eric Wines and wife, Amanda; and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 15, 2014, at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Newton. Pastor Rosa Erickson will be officiating and burial will follow in the memorial garden of the church.
The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Newton, 750 W 13th Street, Newton, NC 28658 or to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
