She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Johnson. Joya loved fostering and taking care of animals.
Joya is survived by her mother, Maria Garriga; sister, Nila “Tina” Holloway and husband Brian; nieces and nephews, Sha, Nila, Sawn, Quentin and Sunny; aunt, Carla McRee and husband Mike; her dogs and a number of extended family and friends.
Celebration of life will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2 pm.
