

Born July 10, 1937 in McDowell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Deaton and Mamie Dayberry Deaton.
Mary Ann was a member of Kingsway Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Luther Jordan; 1 son, Richard Jordan; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Charles Jordan, James Jordan; daughters, Robin Crozier of Newton, Angie Eckard and husband, Richard of Newton; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Williams and husband, Jonathan of Conover, Chad Eckard of Newton, Zoe Mohundro of Hickory; great grandson, Gavin Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 16, 2015 in the chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, with Rev. Randy Stephens officiating. A private graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Grandview Cemetery in Morganton.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton.
In lieu of flowers, it was Mary Ann’s wish for donations to be made to the Salvation Army, 201 1st St., E., Conover, NC 28613, in memory and honor of her three sons.
