

Born July 3, 1944 in Maryville, TN, he was the son of Mildred Daniel Noah and the late Pete B. Noah, Sr. Troy retired from Corning, after 37 years of service. After retirement he worked at Marsh Armfield and for Drum and Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home. He loved following college football especially the UT VOLS and the local high school teams. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. Not only did he love his family, he loved getting out and meeting people, he was friendly and never met a stranger. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Dyer and a brother, Rick Noah.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Margaret Reagan Noah of the home; daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia (Patti) and Danny Merritt of Hickory and Lena and Randy Ramsey of Hickory; grandchildren: Adam Merritt, Laura Merritt, Christy Abernethy, Andrew Abernethy and Morgan Ramsey; his mother, Mildred Daniel Noah of Newton; a brother, Pete B. Noah, Jr. of Mesquite, TX; two sisters, Mildred Cossey of Houston, TX and Wanda Albert of Florida; special friends, Roy and Margaret Kilpatrick , Eric Abernethy, Carolyn Burgess, Jake Caldwell and Ashlee Keller and so many more special family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. The Rev. Larry Cooley will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
