He was preceded in death by his parents, DC and Ivey Propst; son, Everette Lewis Propst; mother and father-in-law, Lee and Hazel Mungro; brother-in-law, Harvey Mungro; granddaughter, Ebony Tipps; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Ikard; aunts, Savannah Ramseur and Georgia McKesson; great great grandson, Clifford Tipps.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shirley Jean Mungro Propst of the home; daughter, Doretha P. Carson of the home; granddaughters, Amy Craig, Shanta Ramseur, and Erica Tipps; sister-in-laws, Linda Mungro, Frances Mungro; brother-in-law, Billy Mungro and wife Liz; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; special friends, James Erwin and James Hamby; special siblings, Robert Ramseur, Robert Propst, Charlene Jenkins and husband Robert, Vanessa Crowder and husband Jeffrey, Patricia James, Donovan Hooper, Betty and Maxine Ramseur, James Propst and Katie, Shirley Wilson and family.
Receiving of friends will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 1 to 2 pm.
A celebration of life service will be held at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 2pm with Reverend Peggy Geter officiating. Burial to follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
