Betty was born on September 23, 1930, in Franklin, NJ to the late Hedgeman and Isabel Cook Webster. Betty grew up in Newton NJ, graduating from Newton High School, Class of 1948. She started her career as a telephone operator, climbing the ladder to Administrative Assistant for United Telephone Company. From there Betty went to work at Newton High School as the secretary to the Principal and counseling center.
After caring for her Dad, Hedge in Newton for many years, she retired in Florida. First in Nokomis, Florida; then closer to family in Stuart, Florida. Betty enjoyed traveling organizing bus trips and cruises for her community members. At home she expressed her creativity through painting and crafting. Loving life to its fullest she was a happy person. Betty was committed to her immediate and extended family encouraging and supportive of their many endeavors, especially education. She loved animals and had many adopted pets in her lifetime. She was dedicated to her faith and maintained her membership to the First United Methodist of Newton thorough-out her lifetime. She was a life member of the the Order of the Eastern Star.
The beloved wife to the late, Irvin D. Morgan, Betty is survived by her children, Patricia ‘Patti’ Miller and her husband Robert ‘Rob’, William ‘Bill’ Morgan and his wife Linda and Susan ‘Sue’ Rubin; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Walters and her husband JR, Robert Miller Jr. (deceased), Whitney Morgan, Nicholas Morgan, Erin Rubin and Daniel Rubin, and lastly her great-grandchildren, Adam and Kate Walters.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday. June 28, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Tranquility Cemetery in Green Township, NJ.
