Henry was born in Paterson, to the late Robert and Margaret (Foy) Savage. A proud US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict, Henry received his bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a computer programmer for Oxford University. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and was an active church member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish.
The beloved husband of the late Isabella (Winters) Savage, Henry is survived by his son Patrick Savage and his wife Michelle, his daughter Margaret Dreisbach and her husband Paul, James Savage and his wife Lauren and Robert Savage, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and wife, Henry was predeceased by his daughter, Rosemary Masten.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 294 S Sparta Ave, Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation will be held privately with an interment at Totowa Cemetery.
