Jane was born on October 8, 1930 in Manhattan to the late Clarence and Mary Bloomfield. She graduated high school in Flushing, Queens and spent her career as an executive secretary until her retirement in the 1990s. Jane’s early years were spent living in Bayside, New York before moving to Flushing with her late husband, Joseph “Jack” Foley, who was a dedicated NYC firefighter.
Upon Jane’s retirement, she relocated to West Virginia to be near her late brother Arthur. During those years Jane embraced a serene life and found joy in gardening, drawing, painting, and traveling on cruises when the opportunity arose. Her solitary yet contented life in West Virginia was marked by a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures. Shortly after turning 93, Jane’s health began declining and she moved to Sussex County, New Jersey to be closer to family.
Left to cherish Jane’s memory are her six nieces and nephews, Donna Baker, Daniel Bloomfield, Stephen Bloomfield (Dawn), Edward Bloomfield (Alana), Brenda Jones (Ken), and Robert “Bobby” Bloomfield; and thirteen grandnieces and grandnephews, Nikki, Ryan, Deanna, Jennifer, Sarah, Brooke, Haley, Corey, Leanna, Jonathan, Tori, Matthew, and Mitchel.
Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph “Jack” Foley; her parents, Clarence and Mary Bloomfield; and her siblings Dolores, Ken, and Arthur Bloomfield.
