Born in Stanislawow, Poland, Janusz was displaced by Russia in 1940 to Siberia as a Polish Refugee. In the years following 1942, he was sent to Kazakhstan, Iran, India, and then various regions of Africa where he spent most of his youth during WWII. After the War, his family traveled by ship to England where he spent several years before immigrating to the United States in 1951. He continued his education and in 1956 went on to serve in the United States Army for 3 years obtaining the rank of Sergeant. Following his service, he worked as a Cartographer for Robinson Aerial Surveys in Jersey City prior to moving to Newton, NJ in 1963 where he continued to work for Robinson for 47 years until his retirement.
Janusz will be remembered for his love of family, love of God and love of country. He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife visiting many different countries and loved taking his grandchildren on family vacations.
Janusz is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline, his brother Mieczyslaw (Stephanie), his children Christopher (Julia), James (Maria), predeceased daughter Christine Pajaro (Rafael), son Robert Morrell and grandchildren Joseph, Nina, Tori, Alyssa, Jessica Schaumburg-Decker (Christopher), Mia Schaumburg, Garrett Schaumburg, Kyila Morrell, Simon Pajaro, Lucas Pajaro, and great grandchildren Calvin, Sylvie Decker and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Newton, NJ on Friday, August 16th at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
