John Raymond Crane

John was born in Sussex to the late Raymond I. and Evelyn (Heater) Crane. He worked as the Operations Manager for Union Carbide, Inc. in Keesby, NJ for many years prior to retirement in 1999. John moved to Lafayette, NJ in 1981 and eventually settled in Treadwell, NY. He was an avid hunter, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, John was also predeceased by his brothers, Issac, Robert, and Edwin Crane. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sandra Crane; his daughters, Dorothy Crane and Renee Vealey (Michael); his grandchildren, Alisha Razzano (Mike), Brandon Vealey, Monica Vealey and Christopher Crane; his great-granddaughter, Nora; his brother, Raymond I. Crane, Jr.; his sister, Evelyn Randall; as well as many beloved extended family members.

Services are private under the direction of Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s memory to: Treadwell Emergency Squad, 275 Jackson Hill Rd, Treadwell, NY 13846.
