

Born on August 15, 1942, in Somerville, Judith was the daughter of the late Rev. Henry and Ruth (Snook) Wilson. She devoted her life to her family, her church, leaving an enduring legacy of love, creativity, and faith.
Judy worked faithfully alongside her beloved husband, James P. Hawke, as the secretary for his accounting business, a role she embraced with diligence and grace. After James’s passing in 1999, Judy carried on their shared work, serving clients with dedication until her well-deserved retirement in 2023.
A woman of deep faith and steadfast devotion, Judy was a cornerstone of the Andover United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She served as choir director, sharing her extraordinary voice and passion for music with her congregation, uplifting hearts and inspiring worship. Her presence in the church was a beacon of kindness and commitment, reflecting her unwavering love for God and her church family.
Judy was also a gifted artist, blessed with a creative spirit that she expressed through thoughtful, handmade gifts for her loved ones. Whether through music, art, or her nurturing heart, Judy’s life was a beautiful reflection of her selfless love and her deep appreciation for the people around her. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her gentle nature, and her boundless love for her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Judy was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Jim; her son, Lonnie Hawke; her parents, Henry and Ruth Wilson; and her brother, James Wilson. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Stacey Lee (Craig); her adored grandchildren, Alex Lee (Sophie), Nathan Lee, Lawson Hawke, and Jesse Hawke; her brothers, Jerry Wilson (Elaine) and Neil Wilson; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hawke; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Andover United Methodist Church, 207 Andover Sparta Rd, Newton, NJ 07860
