Born on April 25, 1933, in Oradell, New Jersey, Noel was raised in Westwood, New Jersey, before moving to Sussex County.
Noel served his country as a U.S. Army veteran and continued his service in the reserves. He retired from UPS in 1989 after a dedicated 27-year career. His passion for collecting was evident in his extensive collection of Model HO Trains and UPS memorabilia. Noel was also an avid dog lover, especially fond of his black lab, and enjoyed woodworking.
He was actively involved in his community as a former member of the Westwood Fire Department and the Teamsters Union Local 560.
Noel is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn P. Kemmlein; and his son, Steven J. Kemmlein; and son-in-law Lee Thomas. He is survived by his son Michael J. Kemmlein (Mary Ann); his daughter, Barbara Thomas; his son, Jeffrey Kemmlein (Lisa); daughter-in-law Joan Kemmlein; his sisters, Gail Bowman and Carole Neal; along with 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ, on January 12, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on January 13, 2026, at 11:00 am. A Burial to follow at Stillwater Cemetery.
