Son of the late Atilio and Edith Guidi, Dick grew up in New Village, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rosemary Guidi. Dick was the wonderful father of Richard J. Guidi and his wife Jill of East Falmouth, MA Cindy Bach of Green Township, NJ and Michelle Vann of Lafayette, NJ. He will be forever missed by his ten grandchildren, Katie Guidi and husband Jon White, Chris Guidi and wife Amanda, Patrick, Meghan, Kara and Nicholas Guidi Bryan Bach and wife Sarah, Eric Bach and wife Cayleah, Derek Vann and Hayden Vann and brother, Donald Guidi and Sister Lorraine Collins.
Dick was born on June 27, 1941 in New Village, NJ and graduated from Washington High School in 1959, where he was a state wrestling champion and an all-state fullback in football. He earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, Where he wrestled for four years and was an ACC champion. Dick taught Physical Education at Newton High School for 34 years and coached wrestling and football. He left coaching to build a vegetable farming empire with Rosemary. He loved to work on the farm, especially surrounded by family, friends and crew who worked with him. Most of all, he loved dancing through his life with Rosemary.
Dick will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, strength of character, sense of humor and ability to enjoy each moment in the present. Throughout his life, he has been a mentor and father to many and touched the lives of countless students.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St Newton, NJ Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 25, 2021 at St Joseph R.C. Church, 24 Halsted St, Newton, NJ.
