Amalia Leo

LEO, Amalia - Passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday September 27, 2018 at the age of 91.  Beloved wife of the late Armando Leo (2017).  Cherished mother of Anna (John) Martino and Joe (Anna) Leo and loving Nonna of Stephanie (Vincent) Vescio, Amanda Leo, Paul Martino and Joseph Leo.  She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Armando (Luciana) Pietrocarlo and Giovanni (Antonietta) Pietrocarlo, her sister-in-law Maria (the late Giuseppe) Iorio, brothers-in-law Rino (Giuliana) Leo and Giuseppe (Emilia) Leo and by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Giuila Pietrocarlo, her brothers Salvatore (Lois) Pietrocarlo, Giuseppe Pietrocarlo and Vincenzo Pietrocarlo, her sister Maria (Giovanni) Bove, her parents-in-law Angelo and Angela Leo and her brother-in-law Antonio (Concetta) Leo.  Mrs. Leo emigrated from Italy with her husband in 1957, settling in Niagara Falls, where they owned and operated a grocery store, a restaurant and a hotel.  Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church at 1 pm, with the Rite of Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum.  In memory of Mrs. Leo, memorial contributions may be made to The St. Vincent de Paul Society or Heart Niagara, and would be appreciated by her family.  Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com
