

DiRisio, Amerigo "Enrico" - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Saturday August 23, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of 41 years to Filomena "Phyllis" DiRisio (Vacca). Dearly loved father pf Rosemary (Lenny) Caroli, Enrico Jr. (Joanne) DiRisio, Rita DiRisio (Gary Giagnorio), Ronald DiRisio and Joseph (Melissa) DiRisio. Cherished Nonno of Gino, Lenny and Natasha Caroli, Enrico Jr. DiRisio and Adrianna (Frank) Ungaro, Tania (Mike) Antonio, Jaden, Olivia and Cooper DiRisio. Dear brother-in-law of Antonietta DiRisio and Josephine DiRisio of Fairport, New York. Predeceased by his brothers William and Tony and his sister Isabina. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and his life-long friend Guy Paone and family. Enrico immigrated to Canada in 1952 and was a self-made entrepreneur. He owned and operated a grocery store before venturing into the hospitality industry. Enrico's passion for good food and wine led to a very successful banquet and catering business. He was also the cornerstone of his family run companies, which include the Imperial Hotel and The Love Boat Restaurant. Enrico enjoyed spending his leisure time with his many friends at their weekly "Picnic at Queenston Park". He will always be remembered for his hard work and generosity towards his family and friends. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Monday 7-9 and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Scapular Church.
