Angelina 'Angie' DeVito

DeVITO, Angelina 'Angie' - Passed away at Eventide Home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at the age of 94. Born in Italy, she came to Niagara Falls as an infant; she was the eldest daughter of the late Ignatius and Concetta LaRosa. Angelina was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area, and attended local schools. An active member of St. Ann's Church she chaired many activities for the Catholic Women`s League at the church as well as at St. Thomas More Church and she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Angelina worked as a manager in her brother`s restaurant, Salvatore`s, where she enjoyed meeting tourists from Canada and the U.S.A. Her biggest joy was being with her family, enjoying the accomplishments of her daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Predeceased by her husband Ernest DeVito, she was the loving mother of Joy Massaro and her late husband Dominick and a cherished grandmother to Lisa Massaro Keating (Kent) of Amherst, N.Y. and great-grandmother to Chloe Joy Keating. Her siblings include Rose (Chuck) Tamasky and their daughter Lori and Sam (Ethel) LaRosa and their daughter Carie. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St, visiting Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Vigil payers will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Church.
