Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Bernard and Dora Coyle and was predeceased by her siblings, Betty, Margaret and Bernie.
She will be lovingly remembered by her niece, Carol Retter (Derek); nephews, Jim Lysick (Lorenzo) and Brendan Coyle (Kim); and sister-in-law, Kathleen Coyle; great niece Brittany Retter (Rob) and great nephew Dillon Retter (Sara).
Anne was always close to her family. Although she lived elsewhere over the years, she always remembered her true “home” as the house where she grew up on Fifth Avenue in Niagara Falls. Her family remained an important part of her life, and she cherished the memories and connections she made throughout the years.
Anne was a dedicated employee of Kimberly-Clark, where she worked for 40 years before retiring. She was known for her wonderful sense of humour and her love of laughter. She enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, including cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, bowling, her love of dogs, listening to Elvis Presley, and playing Bingo.
For the past 10 years, Anne was a resident of Meadows of Dorchester Long-Term Care in Niagara Falls. She participated enthusiastically in the many activities offered there and particularly enjoyed interacting with the residents and staff. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Meadows of Dorchester for the kind, compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Anne over the years. A special thank you is also extended to her dear friend, Marian, whose visits were always welcomed and appreciated.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB guide dogs program is appreciated.
Anne will be remembered for her laughter, her warmth, her love of family, and the many things that brought her joy throughout her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
