Passed away peacefully after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Ten days past his 85th birthday, Antonio recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary to the love of his life, Pasqualina “Carmela” (Costabile) Fazio. Dearly mourned and forever cherished by his two sons, Gaetano Fazio and Dino Fazio. Predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Antonia Fazio, and his older sister, Maria (Pietro) Zasso. Lovingly remembered by his younger sister, Lina (Mario) Rizzo, and younger brother in Italy, Franco (Pina)Fazio. Super proud grandfather of Jordan (Carly) Fazio and Julia (Matt) Fazio. Beloved brother-in-law of Armando (Donata) Costabile, Theresa (Frank) Pellegrino, Frank (Fulvia) Costabile, Fred (Vivian) Costabile and Gaspare (Olga) Costabile. Missed and loved by many family and friends in Canada, Australia, Italy, Switzerland and the United States.
A GM retiree for the past 25 + years, Antonio loved life…tending to his garden, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends were what made him happy! A proud member of Club Italia for decades, he could also be seen until more recently at LA Fitness. While his battle with cancer is over, the love he shared will last forever.
Visitation will be held at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, on August 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service will take place at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 am followed by Committal Service at Fairview Mausoleum, 4764 Portage Rd, Niagara Falls.
In memory of Antonio, donation may be made to the Niagara Health Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
