Carolyn Marie Wallace (Kerrio)

WALLACE, Carolyn Marie (Kerrio) - (January 10, 1948 - August 9, 2014) Passed away peacefully at Digby General Hospital, in Digby, Nova Scotia, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, she was the beloved wife of the late John (2002), mother of Michael (Melissa) of Digby, Nova Scotia and Jamie Lister, of Niagara Falls. She is the sister of Jim Kerrio, of Ottawa, and was predeceased by her parents, Michael Kerrio (2001) and Helena Grosse Kerrio (2009). Carolyn's greatest joys came from being a wife and mother, and she created a happy loving home for her family. In her last years, Michael and his wife, Melissa, offered the same for her. They would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Medical Team at the Dickson Cancer Centre, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and the compassionate nursing care offered by the Digby Clare Home Support Agency, VON and Pallative Care. Your support meant a lot as it enabled us to care for Mom at home, as she desired. Finally Thank you to Dr. Ron, and the nurses at 2nd floor DGH for making her last days comfortable. Mom will be remembered for her smile and sweet disposition. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and her remains will return to Niagara Falls, where family and friends may pay their respects at PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME , 6062 Main Street on Thursday, August 14, 2014, from 10.00 am to 12:00 noon. Service in the chapel at 12:00 noon, reception to follow. Interment at Fairview cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Huntingtons Research Society.
