

Unexpectedly but peacefully at the Eventide Home at 90 years of age.
Predeceased by her husband Gerald (Jerry). Loving Mother and sadly missed by her son David (Suzanne) grandchildren Celine & Brock, Meridy (Chris), Byron (Jenna) & Jasmine (Keny) Great-grandchildren Madison & Chase. Sadly missed by her sister Freda Provencher(Arnold) & brother Alfred.Cherished Aunt of Natasha Provencher (John) and many more nieces & nephews. She will be missed by Anni McClure her dinner friend at Eventide Home. Predeceased by her parents, Azilda & Edward Brideau, brothers Alphonse & John from New Brunswick. Catherine was born in Tracadie, New Brunswick and travelled to Niagara Falls by train with her family. She loved to go to bingo with her husband and was always busy doing crafts. She would knit hats for newborns. She was mischievous and loved to play pranks on her family. In her last year she made many puzzles and framed them to give as gifts. She spent many hours telling her son Dave stories of the past, which he will miss greatly. She was loved and cherished by all who met her. The family will receive friends at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue from 7-9pm on Wed. Jan. 2 with vigil prayers beginning at 7pm. a Funeral Service will be held at St. Antoine De Padoue, 4570 Portage Road in Niagara Falls on Thursday Jan. 3rd. At 11:00 am with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Niagara Falls Humane Society.
