Concetta Maria Grazia Costa

COSTA, Concetta Maria Grazia (nee Candeloro) - Passed away peacefully on Thursday June 1st, 2023 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of 73 years to Fiore. Loving mother of Gabriel Costa, Fiore Costa Jr. (Mary Bicanic), Romana Costa and the late Anthony 'Top Cat' Costa. Cherished Nonna of Brittany Costa (Dave), Concetta (Taylor 'Omar') Cote, Larissa Costa (Terry), Zeta Costa (Peter), Concetta Costa, Felicia McConnery (Travis), Fiore Costa III, Chantel Zalman and Bisnonna of Shyla Zalman, Stella Mattatall, Bennett Cote and Mia Cote. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Assunta Mannella (Sam), Nancy Steinhaus (Ludwig) and Sam Candeloro (Roslyn). Predeceased by her parents Gabriele and Mariangela (Tassone) Candeloro, her sister Josephine Mannella (Jack), and brothers John (Sue) and Frank (Suzanne) Candeloro. Born in Serra San Bruno, Catanzaro, Italy, Mrs. Costa came to Canada in March of 1954 with her husband Fiore and were well known entrepreneurs who owned and operated Costa Supermarket and Niagara Gift and Souvenirs until their retirement in 1987. She was a proud member of Club Italia and loved her flower gardens. In the winter months, Mrs. Costa and her husband escaped the cold, and traveled to their home in Venice, Florida. The family wishes to acknowledge the extraordinary care received by Mrs. Costa, most notably from her caregivers Sandra Dennis, Gigi Gallegos, Gertwinder, Jincy, Paramjeet, Parmeet, Raman, Rohini and Suk. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Saturday June 3rd from 7 to 9 pm, and Sunday June 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with Vigil prayers at 3 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday June 5th at 1pm at St. Ann's Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
