connor i walked by a plays we used to hang out at today me you and coda .. i remember when me you and my brothers went sledding one time and we where pulling my little brother on one of the sleds down the icey rode behind my old house or when all our friend would sit at the back tree and hang out at brake and every morning we would hang out side miss.friesen room .. i miss you... we all do.

I wish I could have spoken these words to everyone at Connor's service - along side his parents and loved ones who so bravely delivered their words, amongst the unimaginable grief that we all are feeling.   Alas, I could not compose myself enough that day, so I will leave them here.

I'm Connor's step uncle.. and over the last 14 years, I have been so proud to call a child of his quality, my nephew.   

As parents, we are tasked with raising our children.  Guiding them.  Loving them.  Lifting them up when they are down, and passing on the lessons we have learned in our lives, with hopes that we have helped make the world a better place, by bringing this little person into it.  We watch them grow with love in our hearts and dreams in our eyes - never to believe we would ever have to say goodbye.

In carrying out our role as their parents, I think sometimes we lose sight of the lessons that they in turn, pass to us.  

I was lucky enough to be involved in many moments of Connors' short, but vibrant life, and I can say with all of my heart, the lesson I've learned from him, is quite simply that "everything is awesome".   Connor - so early in his life - showed an ability to see past the surface of things and right to their meaning.  How someone so young, could be so wise, always astonished me.   It didn't matter what it was, or where we were... It didn't matter if it was taking him on his first roller coaster ride, or his first NHL hockey game, or if I handed him a pair of used socks from the goodwill - To him, it was AWESOME.   And he was so genuine about it... ... he truly saw, and valued the meaning of the act.  

To David, and Crystal.  My heart cannot fathom the depth of sorrow you are experiencing... and will continue to experience, for the rest of your days.   It is my hope that through your darkest times ahead, when all hope seems lost, and all the love in your heart feels as though it left this world with Connor - please know that we are with you, and that in his honor, in these times, we can still choose to guide each other.  We can still choose to love each other.  And we can always choose to carry those lessons we learned from him, to see each other through. 

Just like Connor would have wanted.

Little con man - I will miss you forever - but I will keep being awesome - because that's what knowing you has taught me - and I will do my part to take care of your mom and dad, until we all can meet again.

Crystal and Dave words cannot express how absolutely sorry I am for your loss.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful son Connor with me and my son Aidan who loved Connor as well.  He will always remember playing Lego with Connor and enjoying their time together.  I will always remember Connors little face, huge smile and energy as he ran around playing in my classes. I cannot imagine the sense of loss you feel now! I didn’t know you too well but I knew the pride and joy you felt for Connor! Dave always spoke so fondly of him and the one time I met him he was so happy and wonderfully spirited! He will speak to you in many small ways now…in the wind, in the leaves and all the beauty nature shows you! Take care and hold each other tight!!

Although I didn’t get the privilege of getting to know Connor, I have had the privilege of knowing and working closely with his mom Crystal. We were both trying at the same time. When she had Connor and right up til now the pride she has always expressed about him and the very way she lights up is going to be the greatest gift going forward. I pray for you and Dave and may you always share his name and remain living in the light of his love. You have always been amazing parents and given everything of yourselves. God bless you all at this time and may your angel live in the peace of paradise❤️

It saddened my heard to receive a message from you Crystal on such a dark point in Your and Dave's life. Connor was a great kid and growing into a greater young man. I would always see and hear the happiness in your voices and excitement in your face. Things happen for a reason and we are not always to know what that reason is. Now he will have gotten his wings to fly and protect his family. My love and prayers to you both.

Crystal and Dave  I remember the day I held Connor in my arms. There are no words that can help at this time but know you are loved and Connor now has his golden wings. Peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Sending much love and many hugs.

I cannot fathom this immense loss.  Wrapping you in love and light and holding you in heart ❤️ I am so incredibly sorry.

While I didn't have the privilege of knowing Connor personally, the light, love, and pride that exuded from Dave whenever he spoke to me of his son was beautiful. My heart goes out fully to the Pester family during this time of unfathomable loss. From what I've seen and heard of this young man, I have no doubt that his legacy will live on for many, many years to come as his loved ones continue to share his stories with the world. May he rest in peace and love.

Your Connor will always be in your heart, minds, and souls forever. I did not have the honor of knowing Connor is his grown years but I certainly have pics of his first few days.  Amazingly strong holding hisbhead up for 2 minutes at 3 days old.  Again I am terribly sorry for your loss...

I knew Conner all through elementary school at Riverview. Conner was always a friendly face, he will be missed.

Being good friends with Lucien and Sharon we have heard how proud they were of Connor.  Lucin proudly showed us his gr 8 grad photo.  Another young life taken far too soon.  Rest in perfect peace, along with those gone before you..  May his family and friends always say his name with fondness and love. Our sympathy is with all lives that he touched.

My son was friends with Connor. I remember seeing them everyday at school listening to music waiting to enter the school yard. My son was very fond of Connor and we were shocked to hear the news and are so sorry for your loss. All of you are in our thoughts at this time. Peace and love to you all.
