Conrad “Redskin” was born on December 14, 1934, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, in the exceptional care of The Meadows of Dorchester , holding the hand of his beloved wife and lifelong partner of 70 years, Joyce. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Joyce; children Germaine Morgan, Clayton Bellefleur, and Terrie Stirtzinger; grandsons Kyle and Liam (Emily) Stirtzinger; great-granddaughter Lowen Louise; his furry grandson, Mister; and many nieces and nephews.
Red built a proud career as a talented pipe welder, contributing his skills to the construction of the Skylon Tower and Niagara Falls Casino before later retiring from General Motors. He treasured a lifetime of friendships and enjoyed many memorable snowmobiling adventures with his buddies. A natural musician, he taught himself to play guitar and harmonica by ear, and he never missed an opportunity to entertain with his spoons. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, spending time in his garage and backyard, travelling to California to visit family, and making memories with those he loved.
Above all, Red treasured his life with Joyce. One of his favourite pastimes was their Saturday night dinner and dancing, a beautiful tradition shared by two people whose love endured for 70 years. Red was truly one of a kind, remembered for his hard work, musical talents, sense of fun, lasting friendships, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories, stories, and laughter that will be carried on by all who knew him. A one of kind husband, dad, Papa, uncle, and friend will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Visitation will take place at Patterson Funeral Home Ltd., 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, on October 1, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6548 Dorchester Rd, Niagara Falls,on October 2, 2026, at 12:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Fairview Cemetery, 4501 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls.
