ANTIDORMI, Domenica (nee Spacone) - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Domenica Antidormi announces her passing on Saturday March 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Mario (2015). She loved and was devoted to her children Anthony (Karen Bartok) and Sandra, who would describe her as the 'best mother in the world!' and would do anything for them. Beloved daughter of the late Francesco and Chiaravita (nee Gentile) Spacone and daughter-in-law of the late Antonio and Filadama (nee Salciccioli) Antidormi. Dearly loved sister of Vincenzo Spacone (Rita McShane) and dear sister-in-law of Grazia Tomassetti (nee Antidormi) and Romano Coveri, Maria de Antidormi. Cherished aunt of Chris (Lisa) Spacone, Mark Spacone, and the late Lisa Spacone, Wanda (Rino) Continenza, Tony (Lori) Antidormi, Dario (Anna) Antidormi, Domenica (Luciano) Battiston, Tony (Lily) Tomassetti, Peter (Vesna) Tomassetti, and many others in Italy and Venezuela. Predeceased by her siblings-in-law Domenico (Antonietta) Antidormi, Maria (Aroldo) Sereni, Angelino (Filomena) Antidormi, Giovanni Tomassetti, Constantino Antidormi, Franca Coveri and Marlene Spacone. Mom was a beautiful soul, full of life and love. A 'superwoman' with a huge heart and a great mother who loved her family immensely. She was extremely kind, charitable, and cared for people. Everyone loved her. She always had a smile and it was easy to get her to laugh - but she would start to tear up upon hearing of someone's misfortune. She had a deeply rooted love for her homeland village, Prezza, often recalling of her childhood life there. She was very happy to return to Italy in 2018, where she guided her daughter Sandra all over her village, Rome and Florence. She had an adventurous spirit and loved trying new things and going to events like classical music concerts. She attended dinner dances with her husband Mario. Mom loved to entertain, was a great hostess an exceptionally good cook and baker, having food and baked treats ready for anyone who stopped by for a visit. Domenica had boundless energy and enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, knitting and going on daily brisk walks. She was a spirited driver and had a perfect driving record. Mom's life was completely transformed when in 1988, she was diagnosed with cancer, and placed full trust in her son to guide and heal her with his knowledge of holistic health. Her diligence and adherence to those many various healing regimens resulted in the cancer being totally eradicated within six months. Upon hearing about this rare occurrence, Domenica was subsequently invited by several health practitioners to speak about and give accounts of her experience and success. Mom had started reading books on health, philosophy and spirituality that her son gave her, and delighted in deep conversations they would have together. She also started exercising, and practicing tai qi and qi gung, and occasionally attended yoga classes. Mom developed tremendous energy and strength, and became a model and inspiration of health and healing for others who had heard about her and who would come to her home to learn what she did. For many years mom joyfully shared her story with everyone interested, and would freely and passionately teach them the things that she did to heal herself. Unfortunately, in the last few years of her life, mom had developed dementia, but remained living in her own home till the end. Her passing has left us with cherished memories but a profound emptiness in all of our hearts. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Wednesday March 5, 2025 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday March 6, 2025 at 1 pm at Our Lady of Peace Church, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Mausoleum. In memory of Domenica, memorial contributions may be made to Project Share, and would be appreciated by her family. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
