Donald Martin Payson

PAYSON, Donald Martin 'Don' - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday April 24, 2025 at the age of 66. Loving husband, high school sweetheart and best friend of 45 years to Kathy (nee Lococo). Don will be lovingly remembered by his niece Robin (Jay) Davis, brother-in-law Chris (Andrea) Lococo and his family; Mark (Hannah) Lococo, Joey (Tori) Lococo, and Krista (Shawn) Archambault. Survived by his sister Maria (Frank) Nicoletta as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his special fur baby Chico. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Elsie (nee Delduca) Payson and siblings Janice Egerter, Donna Payson and Andrea Warr. Don enjoyed golfing, gardening, music and astronomy. He was a car enthusiast and took pride in his 1974 Volkswagen Beatle. He was thoughtful and passionate about everything he did and had a keen eye for detail. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Saturday May 3, 2025 from11am to 1pm followed by a Celebration Of Life at 1pm. A private family burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Don, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and would be appreciated.
