Douglas "Doug" Edward Lovell

Died on the morning of April 6, 2021, at the age of 82, in St. Catharines, Ontario, with his wife by his side. Doug is survived by his wife Mieke (Denee) of 15 years; his daughter Noreen (Ryan) and his three grandchildren: Militca, Jakob, and Rachel; and his younger brother, Bob (Gail), plus nephews and a niece. Doug is preceded in death by his parents, Melville and Ivy Lovell, as well as his first wife Elizabeth (2003), older brother, Carl (Joan), and his nephew, Stephen. He was a good husband, a loving father and grandfather, brother and friend.

Family and friends will received guests on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls. In keeping with Covid 19 restrictions, guests must call the funeral home at 905-354-5614 during business hours to schedule an appointment to visit. All guest must check in upon arrival and wear a mask indoors. Please remain in your vehicle until a member of the staff instructs you into the funeral home. A Funeral Service (by invitation only) will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1 p.m. with burial at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens to follow. The service will be livestreamed and the link available on the funeral home website in the service information. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Canadian Cancer Society.
