FISHER, Dr. Andrew Anthony, M.D., OB/GYN - Passed away peacefully at the Meadows of Dorchester on Monday October 31, 2022 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 62 years to Dawn (nee Britton) and cherished father of Andrew Britton Fisher, Peter Samuel (the late Wendy, 2019) Fisher, Alyson Ann (Steve) Lorich. Loving grandfather of Andrea Fisher, Matthew (Monica) Fisher, Douglas (Vanessa) Marcotte, Andrew B. Fisher, Nicholas Fisher, the late Victoria Marcotte (2012), the late Alexander Marcotte (2013) and great-grandfather of Catherine, Bethany, Colin, James. Dear brother of the late Caryl Ann Cox, uncle of Brian, Shawn, Barry, the late Kevin, brother-in-law of Christine (Gary) Cappadocia. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Samuel and Carolyn (nee Eggleston) Fisher. Andy was a charming, honest family man and dedicated physician. He graduated from Queens Medical School on Saturday May 28, 1960, and since his family was already in Kingston, he married Dawn the following Monday. He was loved by those who crossed his path in life - from his cherished patients to the professionals at Greater Niagara General to the dedicated staff at the Meadows of Dorchester. By opening his own clinic, Dr. Fisher was instrumental in introducing diagnostic ultrasound to healthcare in Niagara. He loved sports; he was a member of NFCVI's Red Raiders, and loved slo-pitch, curling, skiing, playing cards (especially poker for the huge penny pot), and taking every opportunity to party - especially at family gatherings. He enjoyed many summers sailing at Gore Bay, Manitoulin Island. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, Sunday November 27, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday November 28, 2022 at 1 pm at St. Patrick's Church, followed by a Celebration of Life reception to follow at St. Ann's Parish Hall (5740 Buchanan Avenue) from 2:30 to 5 pm.
