Edward William Manders

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Manders from Niagara Falls, on May 16, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Edward (1969) & Frances (1995), his wife Marilyn (1995), sister May Young (1989), son Steven (2013), and by his daughter Kimberly (2015). He is survived by his children Teddy Manders of Niagara Falls, Cathy Lee of Vancouver, Valerie of Niagara Falls, Scott (Teresa) of Niagara Falls, and Kevin (Viola) of St. Catharines; and also by his sisters Doris, Joyce, Fran (Dennis), Viv (Mike) and brother Danny. Remembered by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Edward was a long term resident of Versa Care in St. Catharines, where he was loved by many, and missed by his many good friends there. He’ll be remembered for his wit, charm, laughter, and great enthusiasm for life. Thank you to Andy, who took me (Valerie) to dad’s appointments and also to Robert whom sat with me during my father’s hospital stay. I would also like to thank the staff of Versa Care for always taking such good care of my father – in particular Patti whom always took extra special care of dad, the Nurses in St. Catharines, Chris for being there for me, to Aunt Rose and her family, and to the staff of Hetherington & Deans for all their compassion and dignified help.

A graveside service of remembrance will be held at Fairview Cemetery, on the corner of Stanley Avenue & Morrison Street on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 1:30 PM, please meet at the Cemetery's south entrance on Morrison Street.
