Peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday, October 20, 2006, in her 85th year. Eileen J. Wood nee Forbes, beloved wife of the late Douglas G. Wood (2002). Loving mother of Wayne Wood (Marilyn) of London, ON, and Sharon (Ed) Lundy of Burlington, ON. Loved grandmother of Joyce, Tia, Brian and Jennifer. Dear sister of Katherine Thorn of Markham, ON. Mrs. Wood was a member of Lundy’s Lane United Church and previously Kitchener Street United Church. The family is eternally grateful for the kindness and attention from the nurses and staff at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Unit C.
Resting at the funeral chapel of Hetherington & Deans, 5176 Victoria Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral service from Lundy’s Lane United Church, 5825 Lowell Ave., at Lundy’s Lane on Tuesday October 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
