Peacefully in her 86th year at Oakwood Park Lodge with her daughter by her side on October 21st 2012. Predeceased by her husband William (1998). Survived by her children Kevin (Debbie) & Kerry (Robert) Bird. Sadly missed by her 2 favorite grandchildren, Brandon & Krista and also survived by her sister Betty Christina Kaine & brother Walter Kaine. She will be missed by many nieces & nephews. After high school, Joan worked at Oneida and also worked as a book keeper for Niagara Spring Service in her later years. She loved spending time in Muskoka with her family and belonged to the Cataract Bowling League and was also on the Oneida Team for 40 years.
The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL. 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Wednesday October 24th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday October 25th at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
