Eric Ronald Laurie

Born on May 4, 1947, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Rick lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and devotion to his family and friends. He was a loving husband, son, and loyal friend whose warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Among Rick's greatest passions was his lifelong appreciation for antique automobiles. He found immense joy in restoring, maintaining, and admiring classic cars, taking great pride in preserving their history and craftsmanship. Whether attending car shows, sharing stories with fellow enthusiasts, or simply enjoying a leisurely drive with his beautiful wife by his side, Rick cherished the friendships and memories that grew from his beloved hobby.

Rick is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 57 years, Margaret Laurie; his goddaughter, Jennifer Stroud (née Lundy), and her husband, Jonathan Stroud; Julie Lundy; and Susan Baltjes (née Lundy) and her husband, Darryl Baltjes. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, many dear friends, and fellow antique car enthusiasts.

Rick was predeceased by his beloved parents, Fredrick Ronald Laurie and Phylis Elizabeth Laurie.

Rick's kindness, quiet strength, and passion for life will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy lives on in the memories he created the friendships he nurtured, and the beautiful automobiles he so carefully restored and preserved.

In accordance with their wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Parkinson Canada.
