It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fernando Emilio Espinosa (Sr.) at the age of 100 years. He was born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, the youngest of eight siblings. His first wife, the late Nidia (Marin), had three children, Fernando (Silvana) Massey, Ontario, Canada, Nidia (Tony), Mexico, and the late Sr. Lupita. He later re-married Adriana (Ortis), and had two children, George and Elizabeth (Niagara Falls, Ontario).
In his earlier years, he worked as a heavy machine operator, and truck driver, building landing strips for Pan-Am, and highways. Later, he became a printer, and owned a bakery. Fernando (Sr.) said that during his 100 years, the greatest invention was the airplane - "which he loved to fly" and the discovery of penicillin. In the '80's, he migrated to Canada with his wife and children. He loved Canada, especially the countryside. He travelled to the West Coast, and Northern Ontario, and settled in Kingston, Ontario, and retired in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He leaves behind many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in Mexico, and a grandson, Daniel in Niagara Falls.
According to his wishes, cremation with no service. Donations to your favourite charity would be appreciated.
