

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at GNGH, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife for 59 years of Ken. Loving mother of Derek (Susan), Darrin (Kim) and Steve (Roberta). Cherished Nana of Alyssa (Alex), Matthew, Jocelyn, Justin, Dallas, Noah, Mason, and Jillian. Dear sister of her identical twin Gloria Riddick, Ernie (Debbie) Jones, Kathy (Andy) Ouellet, the late Gary Jones and her sister-in-law, Gail Jones. Survived by her aunt and dear friend Renie (the late Ted) Hollingshead and Sandy (the late Arnold) Trelford. She will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Val and John Dunne.
Gail dedicated her life caring for and helping others, working as a nurse for over 40 years both in the pediatric unit at GNGH and then later in private practice with Dr. Brian Bassil. She was also a volunteer for numerous events and associations and contributed often to her community in many ways. Gail was well known within Niagara Falls and was constantly recognized where ever she went. She was a longtime, dedicated member of the Fallsview Brethren in Christ Church, Niagara Falls.
From the family, a heartfelt special thanks goes out to the health care team in Niagara Falls that provided care and support for Gail, from the nurses in the ER and on unit C, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, PSWs and the staff at Meadows of Dorchester Senior Day Program.
In keeping with Gail’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service with a reception to follow will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2 pm at the Fallsview Brethren in Christ Church, 7189 Drummond Rd.
