Gary Paul Dougan

Peacefully with his family by his side on Nov 29th, 2015 at GNGH at the age of 75. Survived by his beloved wife Sheila and dear son Sean. Sadly missed by his granddaughter Ariel and also by his brother Thomas & sister Lois (Lloyd) Mills. Predeceased by his brother Robert & parents Thomas & Dorothy Dougan. Also survived by his brother-in-law Don (Terri) Eyles, sister-in-law Stella Eyles and mother-in-law Barbara Eyles. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Wayne Eyles and his father-in-law Philip Eyles. Gary will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Gary was the owner & operator of Velvet Touch Furniture Refinishing & enjoyed Saturday deliveries with his son Sean (“Joe”). Gary also loved driving and meeting people during his time working for Canada Coach & Hamilton Street Railway. A special thank-you to the nurses on Unit D at GNGH for their care & compassion during Gary’s last days.

In keeping with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls on Friday December 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Saturday December 5th at 11:00am.

Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or Meals on Wheels Niagara Falls would be appreciated.
