Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife of 64 years, Therese, and his children, Peggy, Diana, and Mark, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in his 86th year. George and Therese’s love story began on the folk-dancing scene in Waterloo, where they met through a shared love of music, dance, and good company. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. George was fortunate to have travelled extensively. A man of many interests, George enjoyed music and soccer, and was always ready to share a laugh. His innovative nature and wonderful sense of humour made him a memorable presence, while his love and devotion to his family remained at the heart of everything he did. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Therese; his children, Peggy (Jeff) Diana (Gary) Mark (Denise); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Sara (Justin), Nicole (Brian), Connor, Justine (Mason), Hunter, Eric (Bailley), and Matthew; and his great-grandchildren, Nolan, Charlotte, and Sutton. He will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Hans (Hannelore), Anna (Manuel) and in-law siblings Alfred (Liesel), Linda (Wilhelm), and Irma. George was predeceased by his siblings-in-law, Lilli (Frank) and John. His family and friends will remember George not simply for the years he lived, but for the life he lived so fully. A Celebration of Life will be held October 25, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Willoughby Fire Hall (11208 Sodom Rd, Niagara Falls, ON) In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Association Step-by-Step. https://share.google/zr753Uqryb409TZnO
